Privacy Policy
The privacy and security of your personal data we hold is important to SIS Claims Investigators Limited.
This document describes our policy and commitment on use and protection of the information you provide us with. We will only collect and use personal data in ways that are described here and in a way that is consistent with our obligations and your rights under the law.

SIS Claims Investigators Limited (referred to as "we", "us" or "our") is registered in Scotland under number SC239115, whose trading address is 31 Paisley Road, Renfrew PA4 8JH. We are Data Protection Registered with the Information Commissioners Office (registration number Z932379X) and hold Professional Indemnity Insurance.
We are the data controller of information.

Information we collect and use
Personal data is any information about an individual from which that person may be identified.
We will monitor the collection of client personal and confidential information to ensure that the only information collected is that required to perform the service(s) procured by the client.

The information we collect, store and use in the course of our business may include:
• Individual details – name, address, e-mail, telephone numbers, gender, marital status, date of birth, employer, job title and employment history.
• Identification details – identification numbers issued by government agencies e.g. national insurance number, passport number and driving licence number
• Case details – information about you which is relevant to a matter on which we are advising you or a client
• Credit data – credit report and score
• Publicly available sources – such as internet searches, social media, Companies House and Land Registry

We use this information in delivery of our legitimate business purpose or for purposes that are required by applicable law, regulation or other contracts or to allow us to fulfil our business needs and legal obligations.

During an investigation, we may gather personal data without the subject's consent. This is allowed under Article 23 of the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation which includes information gathered in the prevention, detection or prosecution of Criminal Offences and enforcement of Civil Law Claims.

Data we share with others
It may be necessary to disclose your personal information with third party organisations the assist us in providing services or information. This information will only be shared on the instructions of clients or as a requirement of law. If we sell our business, then your information will be transferred to the new owner to enable the continuation of the business.

Data Transfer outside the EEA
We will only transfer your data out with the EEA where
• We have the explicit instruction to do so from clients
• To comply with a legal duty or obligation

Security
We will take appropriate measures to keep your information confidential and secure in accordance with our internal procedures covering the storage, access and disclosure of information.
Retention
We ensure your personal and confidential information is retained for no longer than necessary to provide the services unless continued retention is required by law.

Your Rights
Under Data Protection Legislation you have the right in, certain circumstances, to
• Request a copy of the personal data details we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you
• Request the removal of your personal information where there is no good reason for us to continue processing it.
• Request the transfer of your personal information to a third party

If you wish to exercise any of these rights please contact us in writing using the details below.
You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information however we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in relation to our use of your information.
